How does it work?

Online consultations have been introduced to allow those who need advice on their animals but perhaps cannot have visitors in the home or who are out of our catchment area. Online consultations consist of:

• An analysis of your animals gait based on either videos sent over prior to the session or live during the session

• Advise on your animals posture and loading of the limbs

• Management help and ideas to maintain a health lifestyle

• Information regarding appropriate exercises to try with your dog

• Video analysis feedback of your animal performing their exercises

Unfortunately we cannot perform treatment via an online service, however we can show you some simple massage techniques to try with your animals.

Time: Up to 1.30hr of video consultation via GoogleMeet

Please make sure to send some videos of your dog moving via WhatsApp on 07531639808 at least 2 hrs prior to the appointment.

We need the following videos:

- Walking away from the camera

- Walking towards the camera

- Walking left side to the camera

- Walking right side to the camera 

- Sit to stand at least x6 reps

- Lie to stand at least x6 reps

- Give paw in sit and/or stand at least x4 reps 

- Running free off lead or on a long line in a garden or outside space 

We need the following photos:

- Your dog in stand from the front directly in front of the head

- The left side of your dog

- The right side of your dog

- Directly from behind of your dog  

You can send us any other relevant videos or photos you may have of your dog. 

We will need your dog to be present in the video shot for some of the consultation. So you may want to use a phone or a laptop you can move into position for us to run through some exercises where appropriate. 

Follow up feedback on exercises and gait analysis

Please note this service is not a substitute for veterinary care or in-person veterinary physiotherapy. However we believe it is important to offer this service so anyone and any dog can get help if needed.
